Moving to our own rhythm

We’re Harriet and Henry. We tend vines and make wines, high up in the Montagne Noire, in France’s Languedoc. Our zigzagging adventure brought us here, where we’re finding our own rhythm—shaped by the seasons, life with our two boys and a love of music and creativity.

From Australia to the Languedoc

Our winemaking journey began in Australia’s Macedon Ranges, an exceptional cool-climate region where we grew Riesling, Pinot Noir and Syrah. Years spent tending vines and making wine there shaped our craft and gave us the experience to follow a new adventure.

Our path has brought us to Félines-Minervois, where old vines grow among wild garrigue beneath the Montagne Noire. Here, we’re putting down roots and shaping Domaine Zig Zag, drawing on our experience while finding a new rhythm.

In the vines, in the cellar

We farm organically, pick by hand and work with the rhythm of the seasons. Our old vines, rooted in the hills of the Montagne Noire, give us the starting point for everything we make.

In the cellar, we work with minimal intervention, clay amphorae and old oak, giving each wine time to find its own expression. Thoughtful winemaking, guided by taste, curiosity and respect for the fruit.
